El proyecto trae el poder de la memoria, ancestralidad y de la migraci\u00f3n a un proceso de investigaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica con inmigrantes en ciudades cosmopolitas del mundo \u2013 empezando por Nueva York \u2013 como un proceso de reconocimiento de identidad del artista y colaboradores.El sitio web ofrece a los participantes la posibilidad de enviar fotos, historias y tambi\u00e9n seguir la investigaci\u00f3n y el proceso de creaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica. The project brings the power of memory, ancestry and migration to a practice based artistic research process with immigrants in cosmopolitan cities around the world \u2013 starting by New York \u2013 as a process of set recognition of identity for the artist and participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The website gives participants the possibility to send photos, stories, and also follow the research and the artistic creation process. You can follow the artist, listen and watch the new productions in TIMELINE. You can get to know the sounds, the stories and the people involved in the upcoming album, video and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project is a PhD research in progress at Plymouth University (UK), at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THE RESEARCHERC\u00e2ndida Borges is a musician and interdisciplinary creative artist, educator, composer, researcher, currently conducting PhD research into human transhumance in contemporary music and sound art, based at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at the Plymouth University. The project\u00a0\u201cIntegrating a new diaspora into composition\u201d \u00a0is motivated by the researcher\u2019s own experience as a Brazilian born artist traveling the world to recognize her identity and ancestor\u2019s legacy.\u00a0C\u00e2ndida is also a Fellow Researcher for Antioquia University (Col\u00f4mbia) and has been an Associate Professor of Music for the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) since 2009. She has also been an invited Professor for international institutes, festivals and universities.C\u00e2ndida was awarded a prize from the National Foundation of Arts in Brasil and since then has been based in New York developing this research about multiculturalism into electronic music composition and methodologies of music education. \u00a0She holds a Bachelors degree (2000) and a Masters degree (2005) in Piano Performance from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ), and her career also explores technology and her abilities as a singer and songwriter. Classically trained, she has also been making music for films, ballet, theater, collaborations with DJs and producers worldwide, and especially for her own career. C\u00e2ndida\u2019s last works has been highly reputated in the international electronic scene in the US, as well as the sound tracks, workshops, conferences and installations she has been presenting around the world.
